I just recently got a few power trios to try in my last order. While I love the concept, I think it could function slightly better. It works as a traffic lead, it technically works as a buckle collar (though I wouldn't use it as that given how large it is on my 70 pounders even in the smaller length), but it doesn't really function well as a slip lead. I tried it on my golden who is very accustomed to a martingale, thinking he would do fine with it - but it was no more effective in that usage than a buckle collar. So, love the idea, but the "slide" of a real slip lead or slip collar just isn't there for me - the rope either needs to be smaller in diameter or the ring needs to be larger. (I do plan to try the smaller dog size at some point and see if it can function better even for a larger dog.) So, for my totally chill, doesn't really actually need a leash Labrador - this is great to just throw over his head on a short car ride for those moments when you realize that you actually did need a leash. But for my dogs who still need collars that give "feedback" - this just isn't the best fit for them. We will keep them in our vehicles in case of emergency, regardless.
